These are simple text templates which allow you to have automatic 'blue hand' and mixer controls on a device. What I'd suggest is to use two 'user remote script's. This was an old solution but I think it is super buggy now after Live has changed over the past 6 years. I set the gradual convergence in the general options, but on the minilab it doesn't work in this case, when you change preset. And I don't know why, because it should work and it doesn't. If I want to control 16 parameters with your method, I need to create (and I did) two presets on the minilab, with different cc's per knob, but when I change preset, minilab jump the parameter involved to 0, even with relative mode. If I had the chance to do so, I would use the automatic mapping in ableton, which gives me no jumps. If I'd do so, I would have the chance to push "next bank button" and control the next 16 parameters. I would like to control 16 macros, so two banks at the time (using the second row of knobs on minilab not for volumes, but to control another bank on the device). If you want to control the other banks, you need to push the "next bank" button on the controller. The automatic mapping allows you to use one bank of 8 macros, as you know. To be more clear (I hope ): I talked about 16 macros (not knobs), about the chance to use the automatic mapping of ableton for each device.
